Greek citizens and opposition find themselves, yet again, belatedly informed about the government’s undertakings and decisions made by Kyriakos Mitsotakis.
The revelation came from Ukraine this time. Volodymyr Zelenskiy shared in his post: “During the recent visit of Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis to Ukraine, we discussed the fulfilment of our agreements, our ongoing defence collaboration, and specifically the enhancement of our air defence systems. On March 6 in Odessa, Prime Minister Mitsotakis witnessed the crucial need for robust aerial protection. Moreover, I briefed him on the Russian attack in Kiev this morning. We concurred on expediting the bilateral security agreement based on the G7 Vilnius Declaration.”
Kyriakos Mitsotakis, however, chose to remain silent about these agreements in a social media post he shared two hours later. He mentioned, “I had a conversation with Volodymyr Zelensky prior to today’s European Council session on Ukraine. Greece’s support for Ukraine will persist. My trip to Odessa underscored the pressing necessity for increased assistance. It’s encouraging to witness Ukraine’s consistent advancement towards EU integration,” the Greek Prime Minister noted, omitting any mention of the agreements discussed with Zelensky.
