A boat carrying migrants sank on the night of Saturday in the waters off Pharmakonisi.

So far, one person has been recovered dead, while 19 others were rescued. According to ERT, they are being treated at Leros hospital and are not in any danger.

Three Coast Guard boats, a helicopter, and another boat were involved in the rescue operation. The circumstances surrounding the shipwreck remain unknown.
