The Geneva negotiations on Syria will resume on May 10, the Russian RIA news agency reported quoting the Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov
Mikhail Bogdanov said on Wendesday that United Nations special envoy on Syria Staffan de Mistura announced this information.
The Syrian government said on Tuesday that it had held a final session of talks with de Mistura in a “useful and productive round”.
Staffan de Mistura was asked to brief the Security Council on Wednesday at a closed-door meeting.
Update: According to Reuters, a spokeswoman for Staffan de Mistura said in an email that talk about May 10 was speculation and that no date had been set.
