In its statement, SYRIZA said the anniversary honours “a victim of fascism” and, through him, all victims of racist violence. It stressed that racism and intolerance “have no place in our neighbourhoods or our city” and that the fight against fascism remains ongoing.
The memorial is organised by the Athens A’ Prefectural Committee and local party organisations in Ano Petralona, Thisio, Kato Petralona and Metaxourgeio–Kerameikos.
