Today, the trial concerning the handling of CCTV footage from the freight train involved in the fatal Tempe railway collision is set to take place at the Single-Member Misdemeanour Court of Larissa. In the dock will be the current CEO of OSE (the Hellenic Railways Organisation), the organisation's president at the time of the accident, and the legal representative of Interstar—the company responsible for the surveillance and security of Greece’s railway network since 2017.

According to larissanet.gr, the case revolves around the failure to provide video footage from the Thessaloniki Freight Station cameras, which had been formally requested by the investigating judge in the summer of 2023.

The charges include repeated document concealment and disobedience for the Interstar representative; incitement to both document concealment (on multiple counts) and disobedience for the current OSE CEO; and incitement to document concealment for the former OSE president.

Relatives of the victims, who have joined the case as civil parties, are expected to attend the hearing. Among the witnesses scheduled to appear is Kyriakos Velopoulos, leader of the Greek Solution party.
