The leading MEP candidates are emerging from the ongoing vote count for the European elections. From New Democracy, the top three are the TV presenter Giorgos Avtias, incubent MEP and Vice Chair of the European People's Party (Christian Democrats) Evangelos Meimarakis, and the mayor of Himara in southern Albania Fredi Beleris. A tight race for fourth place is unfolding between incubent MEPs Manolis Kefalogiannis and Eliza Vozeberg, separated by only 30 votes. Lifestyle TV presenter Eleonora Meleti is currently in sixth place, with Chief of the Prime Minister's Press Office Dimitris Tsiodras in seventh.

In SYRIZA, incumbent MEP Kostas Arvanitis leads by approximately 500 votes over Nikos Faradouris. Following them are Nikos Pappas and Elena Kountoura.

The top three candidates for PASOK – Movement for Change are Nikos Papandreou (son of former prime minister Andreas Papandreou), prof. Yannis Maniatis, and weather presenter Sakis Arnautoglou, with Filippos Sahinidis in fourth place. Incumbent MEP Thodoris Zagorakis is positioned in ninth place.

From Greek Solution, incumbent MEP Emmanuel Fragos holds a clear lead, followed by Galato Alexandraki.

The two elected positions for the Communist Party (KKE) are currently held by incumbent MEPs Lefteris Alavanos and Kostas Papadakis.

For the far-right Christian party Niki, actor Nikos Anadiotis leads, followed by Dimitris Metallinos and renowned seismologist Akis Tselentis.

In Course for Freedom, trade union activist Maria Zacharia leads, closely followed by Kalliopi Evaggelidou.

Aphrodite Latinopoulou has secured the most votes in her far-right party Voice of Reason.
