I was born in Athens on 13/3/1988. I graduated from the Graphics designer school of the  Technological Educational Institutes in 2011.

I have an excellent knowledge of photoshop / illustrator /  indesign / premiere / after,effects / flash / dreamweaver / corel,draw / 3d, max / maya / html / web design /java / c+/.

I can also keep accounting books, sweep and mop the office so that no extra staff will be needed for these sorts of duties. I also know how to brew all sorts of coffees, such as cappuccino/espresso/frappe/nescafe (hand shaken to get the right amount of froth).

I have fulfilled my military obligations. I can work continuously for more than 12 hours with no complaints. I do not have a personal life. I have no friends. I have no girlfriend. I don’t ever intend to have a family (so I do not have increased financial demands). I have no other dream other than what’s good for the company.

I don’t drink, I don’t smoke and I don’t need work breaks. I do not know what overtime means. I won’t sleep for more than three days, so I can meet the most irrational time schedules my employer has agreed to with his client.

I can put up with the most aesthetically displeasing interventions in my work and, if the client wants his mug on his business card I have to agree to it, as the customer is always right. I can take part in stupid meetings, where, before a salary cut is announced, the staff is informed that the “company is a ship that’s taking in water and that we have to try and plug the leak before we can sail on to discover new worlds.”

Finally, I’d like to inform you that I’m not asking for more than €300 a month and I can accept payment delays of up to five to 6 months, as I have no rent to pay (I live with my parents). I’m registered with OAED, the manpower employment agency, so that you might benefit from some programme. I am also willing to work for free as I will have the privilege of having my work published. I have a driver’s licence for a car and a motorcycle but I sold my Vespa and my car has been immobilised for a month now because I can’t afford the fuel.

Thanks in advance

The ‘Unemployed Diaries’ (ImerologioAnergou.gr in greek) started out as 17 brief texts scattered in Christoforos Kasdaglis's book 'Anonymous Bankrupts' (Kastaniotis editions, 2012). The unemployed from across Greece, eponymous and anonymous, will be continuing the narrative by writing here. It is a volunteer initiative with the aim of breaking the taboo of shame and giving the unemployed a stage, so that they express themselves, recording their experiences in texts of up to 350 words. An internet venture that aspires to muster varied communication channels in order to maximize the result – that the unemployed find a voice which the dominant mainstream media and the political system have taken away from them.
