At Venizelou station, near the Bezesteni entrance, only one of the eight ticket machines was operational, according to reports from Voria.gr. Notices were posted on several machines, informing passengers that they were out of service.
The malfunction caused significant delays and inconvenience for commuters, as long queues formed at the sole working machine. These technical difficulties have plagued the Thessaloniki metro since its opening, now in its 12th day of operation.
