Train services disrupted on Athens electric railway as passengers found walking on the tracks

Train services on the Athens Electric Railway (ISAP) were disrupted on Wednesday morning. Several people were spotted walking along the tracks between the Nea Ionia and Iraklio stations.
According to initial reports, the incident occurred shortly before 9 a.m., when passengers were seen on the railway line between the two stations.
As a safety precaution, STASY – Greek public transport operator – halted all train movement along that section. Authorities arrived at the scene to safely escort the individuals off the tracks and to investigate how they ended up there in the first place.
