The names of the two MPs are said to appear in a new file that is expected to be sent to parliament in the near future.
The final decision on whether their immunity will be lifted is to be taken by the parliament’s plenary, on a date to be set by the Conference of Presidents.
According to the same information, efforts are being made for the plenary to examine at the same time both the Ethics Committee’s opinion on the two MPs and its already formulated opinion concerning the 11 others.
It is also noted that Athanasiou, although a member of the Ethics Committee, did not take part in today’s meeting and was replaced by New Democracy MP Ioanna Lytrivi.
