A case has been brought against the 22-year-old on charges of jointly inflicting dangerous bodily harm and violating weapons legislation. According to reports, he had previously been implicated in cases involving weapons and drugs.
During a search of his home, police reportedly discovered two daggers, a knuckleduster, a gas mask and a flare gun. The items are being examined as part of the investigation.
The attack took place on Thursday outside the 32-year-old’s home. Video footage that has emerged shows the confrontation and the violent actions of the two young men.
According to footage released by MEGA, the incident occurred at approximately 4pm, as the 32-year-old was walking his two dogs. The two young men arrived on a motorbike, dismounted and approached him, repeatedly blocking his path.
In the footage, one of the attackers can be heard declaring, ‘I am a fascist’. The confrontation subsequently escalates into a physical struggle, during which one of the attackers stabs the 32-year-old while the other can be heard shouting, ‘Kill him’.
A separate video published by To Vima also captures the two young men approaching the 32-year-old and the violent escalation that culminated in the stabbing.
