Late Andreas Papandreou, son of a prime minister of the 60's and father of George Papandreou, PM from 2009 to 2011, was a real charmer of the masses, a nation whisperer.
He left behind a legacy full of controversy: some still regard him as the statesman who changed Greece, fought inequality and brought social development and economic growth while others see in him a populist whose irresponsible spending policies led to today's crisis and spread an ethos of corruption.
