TV footage from 1990 shows 16yo Alexis Tsipras representing student protests

Alexis Tsipras first rise to fame came early: he was a leading figure in a series of student sit-ins when he was 16, against then controversial education reforms.

In an interview on the now defunct state-run ET1 TV, a youthful Tsipras is demanding from the education ministry to respect students and their rights to skip class.
