The lawsuits filed by PASOK President Nikos Androulakis and journalist Thanasis Koukakis have been archived by the Deputy Prosecutor of the Supreme Court, Achilleas Zisis, along with the main case regarding the wiretapping scandal. The lawsuits involved a butcher accused of sending infected messages to individuals who were to be monitored. The Deputy Prosecutor concluded that this individual "had no connection to the allegations."

According to a report by To Vima, the lawsuits filed by Androulakis and Koukakis against civilian were archived by Achilleas Zisis, the Deputy Prosecutor who conducted the investigation. Both complainants had previously revealed having received infected messages on their mobile phones.

The lawsuit centered around a butcher, whose prepaid card, according to the complaint, was allegedly used to send the infected messages. However, in the Prosecutor’s conclusion, it was revealed that the butcher was actually employed at a supermarket, and that a third party had used the card to send the messages. Zisis stated that the butcher “had no connection to the allegations.” According to the same source, the defendant did not deny any involvement in the case.

Zisis also ruled that the provisions of the Penal Code, invoked by the complainants for espionage and violation of the confidentiality of communications, were not applicable in this case.

It is worth noting that a few days after the revelations about the shared objectives of EYP (National Intelligence Service) and Predator, the Supreme Court’s Prosecutor’s Office concluded on 30 July 2024 that there was “absolutely no involvement with the predator spyware or any other malware from any state agency,” specifically referring to the National Intelligence Service (EYP), the Anti-Terrorist Office (D.A.E.E.V.), and the Hellenic Police (Ministry of Citizen Protection).

“From the substantial evidence, it is irrefutably concluded that there was no involvement whatsoever with the Predator spyware or any other malware from any state agency, including the National Intelligence Service, the Anti-Terrorist Office (D.A.E.E.B.), and the Hellenic Police (Ministry of Citizen Protection), or any state official,” stated the Supreme Court’s Prosecutor, Georgia Adilini, when archiving the main part of the wiretapping case.
