A 40-year-old woman who was severely beaten by her 42-year-old partner in Komotini has died after two months of hospitalization in Bulgaria.
The victim had initially been treated in Komotini and Alexandroupoli before being transferred to Bulgaria for further medical care.
Her partner, who had already been remanded in custody, is now facing upgraded charges of manslaughter in a calm mental state.
