In a statement, the main opposition party cites a report in the newspaper To Vima tis Kyriakis, according to which there are references to letters of recommendation and certificates of good standing related to Predator. PASOK argues that the information raises serious questions about the possible involvement of state or government officials in the wiretapping scandal.
PASOK is demanding clarification on whether Greek public services or ministries issued such documents, whether they were used for software exports to third countries, and which individuals approved the relevant procedures.
At the same time, the party argues that the new revelations weaken the government’s claim that the Predator case concerned exclusively private activity, while reviving calls for an investigation into the relationship between Intellexa and government agencies.
PASOK also calls for the immediate convening of Parliament’s Institutions and Transparency Committee, as well as for Tal Dilian and Grigoris Dimitriadis to be summoned to answer questions over the allegations that have been made public.
