In a statement, the community expressed that their initiative represents “a small sample of mutual solidarity between the two peoples,” emphasising that true solidarity is most evident in times of crisis.
This gesture follows an earlier offer of aid from the State of Palestine, which had proposed sending additional assistance to Greece in response to the fires—a proposal that was not acted upon by the Greek authorities.
