The Greek parliament on Wednesday approved a bill controlling the pharmaceutical pricing policy amidst a fresh wave of protests against austerity and reforms in the health sector.
The bill which foresees the reduction of prices in some 6,000 drugs passed with 164 votes in favor in the 300-member assembly. With 246 present in the chamber during the roll-call vote, 72 legislators voted against the amendment and ten deputies abstained.
