Speaking on SKAI radio, Marinakis conveyed, “The government pledges its full dedication to leaving no stone unturned in the pivotal Tempe case. Our aim is to bring clarity to the truth, shielding no one involved and supporting an unbiased and autonomous judicial process.”

Marinakis voiced scepticism about the motives of investigative journalism, particularly in this scenario. He specifically called out Vassilis Lambropoulos of To Vima newspaper for revealing the audio tampering. He argued that this style of journalism seems to advance a narrative of obfuscation, potentially compromising the investigation’s integrity.

Marinakis also took aim at Syriza and its leader, Stefanos Kasselakis, accusing them of undermining state stability and exacerbating tensions in the aftermath of a tragedy that claimed 57 lives. “In times of such gravity, the government pledges to counter any misinformation and ensure the full truth emerges,” Marinakis concluded, stressing the administration’s determination to confront and dispel any allegations of misinformation or cover-up in the handling of the Tempe tragedy.
