An electrician was injured on Monday morning while replacing streetlights in the area of Mylos, Fthiotida, after falling from a mobile crane basket.

According to lamianow.gr, a section of the road gave way, causing the heavy vehicle he was working from to tip over and slide down an embankment. During the incident, the worker’s leg became trapped under part of the platform mechanism.

A digger was brought in to lift the vehicle and free the man, who was then taken to Lamia General Hospital by ambulance. Initial reports suggest his injuries are not serious.
